ITINERARY
Day 1:
Arrival Berlin
After your arrival in Berlin, hotel check-in and time at your own disposal.
Day 2:
City Tour Berlin
Today, your tour guide takes you on a sightseeing tour through the German capital: Visit Alexanderplatz, Berlin`s most famous square with the World Time Clock and the Fernsehturm (TV tower) Alex, with a height of 368m the city`s highest building offering a tremendous view from its panoramic floor; Berlin Cathedral, former court church of Prussia`s royal family, the Hohenzollern; the medieval quarter Nikolaiviertel; the world heritage Museum Island, uniting five important museum buildings into a harmonic ensemble on the river Spree; Berlin Town Hall, official seat of the mayor which is colloquially known as the “Red Town Hall”; the Gendarmenmarkt, generally regarded as one of the most beautiful squares in Europe; as well as legendary Checkpoint Charlie, the former border crossing point between East and West Berlin. The evening is open for your own explorations.
Day 3:
Berlin – Dresden (approx. 190km)
After breakfast, you will leave Berlin and set out for Dresden. Here, you will meet your tour guide for a city tour in so-called “Florence on the Elbe”. You will see the world-famous Frauenkirche Church, the symbol of Dresden, which is regarded as Germany`s most important protestant building in baroque style; the Zwinger, a perfect example of late baroque architecture in Germany; the Semper Opera House, one of the most beautiful opera buildings in the world; the Royal Palace, which used to be the centre of power of Saxon sovereigns; the richly decorated cathedral; the Procession of Princes, a mural painting on tiles from Meissen porcelain of over 100m length; the Brühl Terrace, a former rampart also known as “the balcony of Europe” and much more. The evening is at your free disposal.
Day 4:
Dresden – Prague (approx. 150 km)
After a rich breakfast, you proceed to the “Golden City” Prague, where you will be welcomed by your local guide. Discover the historic metropolis, located on the banks of the river Vltava, during a city tour. Among other landmarks you will see the famous Charles Bridge, which is one of the oldest stone bridges in Europe; the Prague Castle, the landmark of the city and partially more than 1,000 years old; the 700-meter-long Wenceslas Square, which is one of the biggest squares in Europe; old town city hall with the astronomical clock; old town square in the center of Prague; the powder tower, which received its name in the end of the 17th century from its function to store gun power; the St. Vitus Cathedral, the biggest church building in the Czech Republic; the Golden Lane, one of the most famous streets in Prague, as well as the Clementinum, a baroque building complex near the Charles Bridge. In the evening, you will have some time to explore the city on your own account.
Day 5:
Prague – Munich (approx. 380km)
After a rich breakfast, you will leave Prague and head back to Germany. In the capital of Bavaria, your guide is awaiting you for a sightseeing tour: You will see the Marienplatz with the column of St. Mary in the very heart of the city; the new town hall with its famous carillon and its elaborate facade, seat of the mayor and the city council; the old-established and very popular Viktualienmarkt; the medieval city gate Isartor; the Cathedral Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche), the landmark of Munich; the grand and expensive commercial street Maximilianstraße; the Residence, former centre of power of the Bavarian dukes, electors and kings; the 3 Pinakothek-museums with outstanding collections; as well as the baroque Nymphenburg Palace, one of the largest Royal Palaces in Europe. In the evening you will enjoy a genuine Bavarian menu and typical folklore in the probably most famous tavern of the world, the Hofbräuhaus.
Day 6:
Departure
Breakfast in your hotel and departure. You will return home with numerous memories of the Germany and Prague.
