Description

The Stuttgart beer festival ranks among the biggest folk festivals in Germany and is being held every year since 1818 for about 2 weeks from the end of September to the beginning of October.

It is taking place at the 35 ha fairground on the banks of the river Neckar in the district of Bad Cannstatt, close to the city of Stuttgart. Visitors from all over the world come to visit over 330 fairground booths, carnivals and rides, as well as 7 large beer tents and 2 wine tents.

An equivalent to this autumnal folk festival is the annual Stuttgart Spring Festival, which takes place between the middle of April to the beginning of May and attracts about 1.5 million visitors. Top attraction of the Spring Festival is a double loop roller coaster.
